The traditional, tribal cultures of the world hold all the wisdom and knowledge we need to survive and thrive today, if we would only listen to what they have to teach us. Tribal cultures have a shaman as their community healer, a master of healing on the energetic and spiritual levels. These cultures have a radically different view of mental health and illness than we do in the modern world.
There’s a lot of buzz around the internet about finding your life purpose, and rightly so. Many people these days feel a big hole in their lives and are asking, ‘Why am I here?” It’s normal to ask this question. It’s part of being human, of being a spirit in a body plunked onto a rock spinning around the sun.
So, you’re depressed and you feel like you’ve tried everything. You feel like there’s nothing left to try and it’s just time to resign yourself to a life of hopelessness.

I thought I had exhausted all of my options, when in reality I had barely scratched the surface of the possibilities garden. Living with anxiety, depression and overwhelm can fool you into thinking lots of things that aren’t actually true.
I was really surprised when I did some internet research on depression success stories. There are TONS of them online. I wasn't surprised by the amount of stories but by how many people want to help others by sharing what they've been through. So, I weeded through a whole bunch and put these together for you. Sometimes it just takes knowing that something is possible to make a shift in your thinking, to fully embrace that this is possible for you as well as a random stranger.
